A TV With No Cord

The week alone in my apartment was probably the longest week of my life. Partly because it was a week away from my Hubby and fur baby but more because I was in an EMPTY apartment.

When I say empty I literally mean I had...

An Air Mattress
Cleaning supplies
A coffee table to throw away
Just enough cloths to last
Two boxes of Candles
Two boxes of pictures
And my mixer
So I really mean an EMPTY apartment!

Oh... I also had my 19" TV with a DVD player but like an idiot I packed the power cord for it. Yeah... what was I thinking?! lol So it just sat there reminding me what I could be doing. It was great, let me tell you!

The night before I worked my last shift I decided to get Pei Wei to-go and eat on my air mattress by myself. If you haven't figured it out we like Pei Wei. It's a chinese restaurant and yummy! The funny part was that I opened my fortune cookie to find this...
How ironic is this?! I am packing up my car and turning in my keys the next morning to go move in with the in-laws to save up for a house!  Not even going to lie that I was starting to stress about whether we were making the right decision to do that and I kinda felt like this was affirmation from God. I feel like God has always used random scripture and quotes to talk to me all the time and this could not have come at a better time!

The next day I went to work, came home, squeezed everything I could in my car (had to throw away the box of candles because it wouldn't fit. lol Figured they would be the easiest thing to replace!) and turned in my keys. I had no idea my vacuum cleaner would be riding shot gun! Haha
I had never been that excited to make the drive back to my hometown!

2 Years And Counting

Not only was June 25th MOVING DAY but it was also the first day of the year that the temperature broke 100 degrees in Oklahoma AND it was the Hubby and my 2 year anniversary!! And man was it hot!!! Miserable more like it!

I always forget how hot 100 degrees really is until it is here. It's terrible! And in Oklahoma it is windy too so it basically feels like you have a hair dryer blowing on you ALL THE TIME! We tried to start as early as possible but somehow we still ended up unloading the uhaul at the storage unit at 5pm... The hottest time of the day!! The move took ALL day and it was hot!!!!

If you don't know Kevin and I have decided to live with the in-laws temporarily to help us save for a down deposit on a house. So we decided that we wanted to spend our anniversary just the two of us and rent a hotel room for the night. The best part was getting to soak in the jacuzzi tub!!

After moving in 103 degree weather we picked up a wonderful bottle of wine, got Pei Wei to go, and spent a good hour relaxing in the tub and talking. It was just what the doctor had ordered! Leaving the next morning to go back and live in an empty apartment for a week by myself was NOT!! But I'll fill you in on that later.

It's August Already?!

I can't believe it is already August! I am a terrible blogger. I didn't post one thing the entire month of July!!! There is so much I have missed that I'm going to have to just make up my missed posts in August to fill everyone in.

One of the most exciting things is we moved!!! I am so thrilled to be back in our home town with all our family and friends!! I have been catching up with everyone and trying to get life back to normal as best we can! My favorite thing of all though is that I'm back with my two favorites in the entire world!! My hubby and my puppy!!

Boxes, Boxes, and More Boxes

I have decided I HATE PACKING!! Lol It is so frustrating and exhausting! I spent ALL day yesterday and ALL day today packing. I finally have the kitchen completely packed which is always the most work. So it feels much better to have all of it done. But the boxes keep filling up! Pretty soon I'm not going to have room for any more boxes. I just hope I can finish it all before the moving truck comes on Monday!

Driving My Life Away

It's official!!! WE ARE MOVING!!!

I know I already said this in an earlier post but so much has happened and I officially booked the moving truck so that was the final step. It has been a crazy last few weeks but it has been wonderful!

This is how I have spent my days off the past two weeks.

It's a little over an hour and a half drive but it is 100% worth it!

In my older post I talked about the hubby was looking for a job... and he found one! And not just any job... It is for the same owner of the course he used to work at when we lived back in our hometown. He loved working there over a year ago and even though it is a different course it is very similar in the way it is run and he is staying connected with the Head Pro at he old course. I had already taken off work for my friends wedding back in our hometown so I was able to drive down for at least 2 days a week to visit him. It isn't my ideal situation but if it gets us where we want to be than I'm okay with it. And the Hubby is so happy which makes me happy!

One thing I am a little sad about it is transferring from my store. We were bored the other day at work and thought we would have some fun with a few finger mustaches!
We have some awesome workers and I am going to miss them!

Someone Roxy is going to miss is the stray kitten that hangs out in our complex. They have become friends!
The kitten has even tried to sneak into our apartment when we have taken Roxy out. If I wasn't allergic I would want to take it in!

I am soooo ready to move!

Captured Moments

Yesterday my family had the opportunity to have family pictures taken by one of my wonderful friends and fellow blogger Katie. She did an amazing job and it was such a joy to have her taking them! I can't wait to have her take some of my little family for Christmas Cards this fall! We have already picked the place. Here are a few of my favs! She is talented!

Missed Memories

Wow... I can't believe I went so long with out posting! A lot has been going on the last month and so I have really slacked on my blogging!

In the last month the Hubby and I have decided that we really want to move back to our home town where a lot of our family and friends live. While we are sad to leave the friends we have here we just really want to move back to the town we grew up in! I am so ready to be back on familiar ground! Lol

In April:
We went to a Drillers baseball game with friends. It was so much fun! Only $2 tickets to sit on the lawn and $2 food. It was a great chance to catch up with some wonderful friends!

We also went down for Easter to visit my family.

In May:
My younger sister JA graduated from OSU.

We also celebrated my 24th Birthday. Yes, that's right... I am one year away from a quarter of a century old!! Crazy how time flies.

We have also been back and forth between where we live now and our hometown for the hubby to apply for some jobs! I am lucky enough that I will just be transferred but we are praying this move will be a blessing for his career.
