Christmas Already?

Yes... I said Christmas. It is official, my store is playing Christmas music and I am in NO WAY ready for it. Usually I am dying for Christmas music to start playing and when if finally does after Thanksgiving I love it! But it started last week and I am definitely not ready for it!

I am ready for Thanksgiving though. I can't wait to eat a big yummy meal!! My favorite food on Thanksgiving is the potato casserole. We always have to make 2 so that everyone gets some. A couple of years ago my aunt got put in charge of making it and she made 1 and used a small pan. Needless to say there were a lot of unhappy grandkids that year... VERY UNHAPPY! haha

It is going to be different from all previous years though because now that I am in retail I know I am going to have to work on Black Friday. Chances are I will be working in the morning that day too. Our mall opens at 4:00 AM on Black Friday which means I will have to be there by 3:00 AM! I just might die! lol The plus with working that early in the morning is that I'll get off by like 1 or 2 which means I can still come home and eat left overs and then take my day after Thanksgiving nap!

What If...

I saw this on my friend Rebekah's blog and I thought it would be fun! She always has such fun post that she finds all over the blog world.

What if I were to get pregnant? I would probably freak out, have a panic attack, and then realize what a blessing it was and how much I really wanted one. Haha

What if I could have any job in the world? I have no earthly idea! lol This is my problem now, how can I decide what I want to do when I don't even have a dream job!

What if I had a day to myself? I'm in agreement with Rebekah... SPA DAY! and I would do everything! Hair cut, facial, massage, pedicure, manicure, and anything else I could come up with! lol

What if I could get married all over again? I would elope... seriously. There was so much family crap that happened and I honestly feel like my wedding was more about that and the parents friends than about Kevin and me.

What if I could live anywhere in the US? Somewhere like Florida, Southern California, or one of the Carolinas. I HATE the cold and would love to never have to deal with it! haha

What if I were to have more children? Well I don't have any at the moment so if I have any I'll be happy...just not right now! lol

What if I could have any talent in the world? Be more athletic...I know it's not really a talent but it would be nice.

What if you met me in real life? I am probably just what you expect from reading my blog! lol

What if I went back to school? I would get a masters but I have no idea in what.

What if money weren't an object? Kevin and I would probably buy a house and a new car for him. I don't hate apartment life but it would be WONDERFUL to have more room. The car is more for the hubby...his is falling apart.

What if I could meet one celebrity? Um... I would be happy to meet almost any celebrity! Haha

What if I could only shop at one store the rest of my life? Again, agreeing with my friend Rebekah... definitely Super Target!

What if I could choose an animal/pet? I have my puppy Roxy which I love and would never give up! But one of our neighbors has a little 8 week old Yorkie and it is ADORABLE!! I would love to have one and I know Roxy would too! lol

What if I could go on a trip right now? I would take a little family vaca with the Hubby and Roxy to go visit my bestie Rebekah and her Hubby in Cali.

What if I had to choose between a house cleaner and a professional chef? 100% I'm going with the professional chef! I can't cook for the life of me!! I don't mind cleaning either so I would definitely choose the chef!

What if I had the option to get plastic surgery? I don't really want any plastic surgery right now... Lasik I would do right away though! And after I have kids I would take up the option to get plastic surgery to lift things. Haha

Pumpkins and Wine

So Thursday nights are boys nights for the Hubby and friends. One of the girlfriends and I decided we wanted to carve pumpkins and have a girls night! I had never actually carved a pumpkin before... Yes I know.. SHOCKING!

When I was little we didn't carve pumpkins we painted them! My Grandmother LOVES to paint and it was always a hobby my Mom also enjoyed so when Halloween, or any Holiday would come around we painted things. I wish I had a picture of an old pumpkin I painted. I need to rummage through my mom's old pictures when I go home over the holiday for my blog posts!

My new friend LL and I decided some Relax Wine went perfect for the occasion!

LL is a pro at carving pumpkins. I was a little nervous to see how mine would end up!

Yes, we were both in our OSU apparel. I think we were feeling the Halloween Orange! And yes those are HUGE red wine glasses not white wine glasses. We didn't want to waste time refilling them! Haha

After the night was over I felt pretty good about my final project...even with out the big chunk that fell out.

If you can't tell it's supposed to be an R. Haha I plan on putting it outside our door for the Trick or Treaters tomorrow night. I hope we have a good amount that come because we never have in the past. Although not too many because I only bought one bag of chocolate candy and I hope there is some chocolate left over!

"It's OK" Thursday 3

Its Ok Thursdays

... to lock my keys in my car when I just drove an hour to see my good friend CP. I had only done this once before, my sophomore year of high school. And when I did it the first time we had like 5 spare keys to that car. This car only has one spare key which was with the Hubby an hour away! Ended up caving and having a locksmith come open up my car after CP and I spent a good 30 minutes trying to use a hanger. Sure that would have been something to see! haha

... to eat cereal for any meal of the day. Yeah... I like my Lucky Charms for dinner.

... to listen over my shoulder in the line at Starbucks in the mall hoping to hear something about the iphone 5 from the group of apple associates having a meeting of some kind. (This was last week so it was before we new about the iphone 4S)

... to have so many shows recording on my DVR that I can't watch normal TV because it is on overload from the recordings. haha

... to spend an hour in another store talking to the manager even though I just met her. Turns out we are from the same town, went to the same college, and ended up in our job now for basically the same reason. Haha

... to wake up early last Friday to pre-order the new iphone. I have been waiting since April! lol

... to walk into the men's restroom at a restaurant. No worries...no one was in there... the urinals gave it away! haha The waitress that was walking by did give me a funny look though when I walked out and turned towards the women's restroom.

Date Night

Kevin and I had a date night tonight...and it was wonderful!! We hadn't been out just the two of us to do something fun in a while so we made plans to do some shopping and go out to dinner. For dinner we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant Ted's.

Now I have to say I was a little disappointed with it tonight. We used to live closer to the ones located in the Oklahoma City area and the two down there are so much better than the one in the Tulsa area. It is really sad to see such a difference...especially with it being the same restaurant. It was still good but not as good as the others.

After dinner we went to one of the Hubby's favorite stores Golf Galaxy and looked around. Next door they had a Halloween store so we just had to stop in. haha I know it is stupid but the Hubby and I really enjoy walking through those places looking at all the ridiculous costumes! If you have never been before you really should go check it out just to get a good laugh. I wouldn't be caught dead in the majority of the outfits but some are really funny.

When we left the costume shop we decided it had been way too long since we had played miniature golf and we had never played at the little course around the corner so we had to go try it out. It was so much fun! With the Hubby working to become an assistant pro at a golf course he is actually pretty good at Putt-Putt... me on the other hand. HA Let's just leave it at that.
It was actually a really cool little course. Much more impressive than the one we used to go play back in high school and college.

P.S. Those are a new pair of boots I bought yesterday.
I'd say they were a good purchase.

I'm really happy that my Hubby is such a good sport when it comes to keeping score in putt-putt. I have a sneaky suspicion that the 8 over par he recorded for my score was more like 20. He's such a goober and that's why I love him!
Funny fact about my Hubby... When he was up for Homecoming King back in high school they had an assembly to introduce all the candidates. They did the basic introductions, their name, what school activities they were involved in, what were their hobby's, and what they wanted to do/be when they got older. The funny man that he is decided to put that he wanted to become a "professional mini golfer". The student body got a good laugh out of that. Little did we know at the time he would pursue a career as an actual golf professional.

I think my favorite part of the entire night though was in the car ride from the Halloween store to play putt-putt. We were just goofing off in the car listening and signing to music when Kevin reached over, put his hand on the back of my neck, looked me in the eyes, and told me how he loves to just spend time with me. I love those moments. He truly is the love of my life.

The Fair

Wednesday I finally got to go to the fair!
I have been waiting and waiting for us to get to go and I got to leave work early and two of our friends were free so we went. If you are anything like Kevin and me, one of our favorite parts of the fair is the food. I know it is the most unhealthy food known to man kind but what can I say...we love our turkey legs!

Another part about the fair is just getting to hang out with friends. This is a picture of my friend, well call her Mrs. Money and her husband, we'll call him Mr. Money, jumping in.

Here is the better one.

She is such a sweetheart! We always have so much fun together.  It took some convincing but I finally got Mrs. Money to ride a camel with me.

I know some people might think this childish but come on...we were at the Fair and how often do you see places to ride camels?! Surprisingly I found out their fur feels like a poodle's! And they ridiculously tall!

After the camel riding we went to the petting zoo and I have to say I was really impressed. We got to pet a lot of animals I never would have seen or thought I would have gotten to pet.
Like a kangaroo...

 ...a porcupine

 ...and a Zebra!

Kevin and I had fun a spending some time just hanging out and having fun.

While Mrs. Money and I were busy riding Camel's Mr. Money and Kevin were busy falling for the typical fair side shows.

Not really...they were just curious about how they would pull something like this off. Kevin did pay a dollar to see the "head of a lovely woman and the body of an ugly snake". In short it was a crapy Halloween costume and a lady watching something on her iphone. Haha Thank goodness it was only a dollar.

Crazy Busy Week

Saturday was the end of a crazy busy week!

Kevin had a HUGE tournament at his course and worked over 60 hours this last week and then I closed 4 night this week. So in other words... we hardly saw each other! It was a good week though because we made plans to go to dinner and a movie with friends on Friday night. We ate at this okay sea food restaurant. For those that don't know me... I don't like sea food so Kevin and I split ribs! haha

After dinner we went and saw the new Anna Farris movie "What's Your Number".

It was hilarious!! I was expecting it to be just okay and the previews made it look a little predictable but it was actually REALLY funny! And besides the movie it was great to just go out with the hubby and some friends. It is so nice to finally have some friends up here to hang out with. Kevin has had his guy friends but the guys have found some girls so it is much more enjoyable for me now. Pretty sure a month ago I would not have been able to get all the boys to go see this movie for the life of me. It is amazing what guys will do for girls they recently started dating and are still trying to impress. haha

Kevin and I both worked Saturday so we didn't see each other yesterday but today I was off and Kevin was off by 2:30. So what did we do today... of course watched some football.

Roxy was so happy to have us home. She has not left our laps all day! Love this puppy!

I'm not going to lie though... we got "Twilight" in the mail yesterday from Netflix so I watched it today before Kevin got home. This summer I actually did some reading and went through the entire Twilight series! The last full book I have read for my own enjoyment was "Pride and Prejudice" freshman year of college when I worked the 6am-9am shift at the dorm front desk. And that was basically just to keep me from falling asleep due to boredom! haha I'm not going to lie... I am a little obsessed with it now and I am really hating that I have to wait a few days between each disc coming in the mail!

I'm really looking forward to this next week. The big tournaments are basically over at Kevin's course so he should be back to his normal schedule this week and I only close 2 nights. I'm so happy I get to spend more time with the Hubby this week!

This is adorable but I'm ready to come home to someone that is awake!
